Turning Big Ideas into Even Bigger Fun

One of our recent projects was the Giant Connect4 Challenge, built for the Ice Expo 2025.The goal was to beloved classic game and turn it into a massive, attention-grabbing attraction that showcases both innovation and teamwork.

Materials & Methods

Instead of small plastic, we went extra-large — creating oversized red and yellow discs from durable plastic. Our CNC router machines were responsible for cutting and shaping each piece with precision, ensuring smooth edges and a perfect fit.

The structure itself was designed to handle the size and weight of the giant components, combining both engineering strength and visual appeal. To make it even more spectacular, an excavator was used to drop the oversized discs into place — a clever twist that tied in perfectly with the event’s heavy machinery theme.

Challenges & Solutions

Building something at this scale came with its share of challenges. Precision was key — even a small misalignment could affect the way the pieces fit together. Our team relied on advanced routing technology and careful material selection to keep everything perfectly aligned and visually consistent.

Result

The Giant Connect4 Challenge was a major hit at the Ice Expo — drawing crowds, smiles, and even a great reward for the winning players. For us, it was more than just a game; it was a demonstration of what’s possible when engineering meets imagination. And we are proud IWPL can make ideas come to life.
