IWPL Embraces the Challenge

This year, the Irish Waterjet Profile team took on a heartfelt challenge: 100 skips a day to raise money and awareness for children in need of vital medical treatment. It’s a small action, but full of meaning—each skip reminding us of the young patients and families who face far tougher challenges every single day.

The Challenge

When we first shared the skipping idea with the team, the reaction was brilliant. A few people admitted they’d never even held a skipping rope before, but they jumped in—literally—for the fun of it and, more importantly, for the cause behind it.

Our skipping sessions became some of the funniest and most uplifting moments in the office. They brought out everyone’s inner child and reminded us of the simple joys so many children, sadly, miss out on while they’re in the hospital receiving treatment.

The Result

“This challenge wasn’t just about skipping—it was about showing up with solidarity, compassion, and hope. It was about raising awareness and standing with the children who need it most,” says Charlie Dolan, Managing Director at IWPL. “Each year, we commit to supporting a cause that matters, and this time we proudly chose the Children’s Health Foundation.”

The Children’s Health Foundation is the fundraising and support charity for Children’s Health Ireland (CHI), covering the major paediatric hospitals and urgent-care centres across Ireland, including Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght, and Connolly.
